Well, really….

As the year begins to stretch its legs, I’m noticing how easy it is to feel the pressure to start well, do it right, or make the most of these early weeks.

What would it feel like to start this year at your own pace instead of someone else’s? This January, I invite you to spend time looking at the gentle sunrise and sunset of winter and notice how they make you feel — comforted, soothed, perhaps quietly hopeful. A gentle return, rather than a sudden leap forward, is still deeply in rhythm with the season.

With that in mind, I wanted to share what’s unfolding this January — beginning with a new course that feels aligned with this time of year.

Feature Story

NEW: Yoga Foundations Course

Thursdays · 10:00am | Starting January 15th
Unity, Embsay (Skipton) | 6-week course | £75

This course is an invitation to build strong, clear foundations in your yoga practice.

Each session blends mindful breathwork, functional movement, biomechanical awareness, and slow, intentional sequencing. The approach is inspired by the pillars of Forrest Yoga — deep breathing, core connection, integrity, and building strength with sensitivity — while also drawing on modern movement principles and gentle flow.

It’s suitable for complete beginners, as well as those wanting to return to basics and feel more confident and steady in their practice.

Week by week:

  • Week 1: Breath & Awareness

  • Week 2: Core & Basic Moves

  • Week 3: Shoulders & Upper Back

  • Week 4: Hips, Low Back & Standing Poses

  • Week 5: Heat, Flow & Moving Well

  • Week 6: Integration Practice

Across the six weeks, my hope is that you’ll feel more connected, more capable, and more at home in your body — both on and off the mat.

A Final Note

1:1 Health Creation Coaching - Now Open

I am opening three spaces in January for 1:1 coaching grounded in the Health Creation approach.

This work supports you to explore your health and wellbeing more holistically — looking not only at habits and behaviours, but also at energy, purpose, environment, and how you’re really experiencing your life. It’s a spacious, person-centred process, especially supportive if you’re feeling tired, stretched, or quietly disconnected and want something more sustainable than quick fixes.

This work is well suited if you’re:

  • working towards intentions that you’d like some accountability with

  • carrying responsibility at work or in leadership, with little space to pause

  • feeling stretched or tired, even while things are “going well”

  • wanting steadier energy, clearer boundaries, or a calmer way of working in 2026

Coaching offers a supportive, unhurried space to reflect, recalibrate, and gently put foundations in place — allowing changes to emerge at your own pace over the coming months rather than forcing them now.

If this feels like the right time to be supported in a deeper way, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can have a gentle, no-pressure conversation.

If you’re feeling the call to move — or to pause — in a way that feels more honest this January, I’d love to welcome you into any of these spaces.

In grace and gratitude,
